Orofacial pain can involve the jaw, face, chewing muscles, teeth, and surrounding structures. Identifying the source of pain is an important part of appropriate treatment. At Rutudent, patients with persistent jaw or facial discomfort undergo a detailed clinical evaluation to help determine whether the symptoms may be related to the TMJ, muscles, teeth, bite, or another dental condition. Conditions commonly evaluated include: - Jaw and facial pain - TMJ-related discomfort - Chewing muscle pain - Jaw stiffness - Pain associated with clenching or grinding - Bite-related discomfort
